BlackBerry line of smartphones are developed by Research In Motion Limited (RIM) - the canadian wireless device company, headquartered in Ontario, Canada. Blackberry's RIM was founded in 1984 by Mike Lazaridis who is the current CEO along with Jim Balsillie.
