Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Inc. was created in Europe through a 50/50 joint venture between Fujitsu and Siemens. The company was founded in 1999 with the original venture between Fujitsu Limited of Japan and Siemens AG of Germany. Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Inc. then became Fujitsu Technology Solutions on April 1, 2009 as a result of Fujitsu buying out Siemens 50% shares in the company. Fujitsu Siemens Computers services devision is extended to 170 countries worlwide, while their major product portfolio is marketed accross Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Fujitsu Siemens Computers history begins with the merger of PC-divisions by Nokia and Ericsson in the mid 1980s, the then German half of the company was the result of another merger of Nixdorf Computer with Siemens.
